The Thailand Chess Association successfully organized the 27th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2025, featuring three prestigious events: Standard, Rapid, and Blitz. The championships took place in Thailand under the expert direction of IO Sahapol Nakvanich as Tournament Director, with IA KK Chan serving as Chief Arbiter and IA Mikhail Krjukov as Deputy Chief Arbiter.
Standard Chess Championships
The Standard event ran from November 22-29, 2025, comprising 9 rounds with a time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move from move one.
Open Categories Results:
In the Under 8 category, Kiasha Mahboobi from Iran claimed first place with 7.0 points, followed by S Tamizh Amudhan from India with 7.0 points in second, and Mahdiar Janbarari from Iran with 7.0 points in third. The player Sayuru Lonindu Jayasuriya from Sri Lanka finished 15th, scoring 5.5 points.
CM Xuan Phuong Nguyen from Vietnam topped the Under 10 division with 7.5 points, while Artem Den Tsepilov from FID secured second place with 7.5 points, and CM Rizat Ulan from Kazakhstan took third with 7.0 points. IM Gia Huy Banh from Vietnam won the Under 18 category with 7.0 points in first place, IM Christian Gian Karlo Arca from Philippines secured second with 6.5 points, and Igor Ismagilov from FID took third with 6.5 points. The Under 16 Girls crown went to WFM Enkh-Amgalan Emujin from Mongolia with 7.5 points in first place, WFM Mariya N Vlasova from FID secured second with 7.0 points, and WCM Yasmina Alemanova from Kazakhstan took third with 6.5 points. No Sri Lankan players participated in this category.
Qinxuanyi Wang from China won the Under 18 Girls with 7.0 points in first place, Binh Vy Nguyen from Vietnam secured second with 6.5 points, and Ha Khanh Linh Nguyen from Vietnam took third with 6.5 points. The player WFM Dahamdi Sanudula from Sri Lanka finished 27th, scoring 4.0 points.

The Rapid event was held on November 21, 2025, consisting of 7 rounds with 15 minutes per game plus 5 seconds increment from move one.
